1)   Piñar del Río, Cuba – Cuban Red Guava:  Cuban Red Guava is prominent in Piñar del Río. The region offers the ideal growing conditions for this variety due to its fertile soil and ideal climate.

a.   Rich, juicy flesh, a sweet aroma, and a vivid red colour are the characteristics of the Cuban Red Guava.

b.   Its distinct flavour profile, which strikes the ideal mix between sweetness and acidity, makes it a favourite among guava lovers.

2)  Allahabad, India – Allahabad Safeda Guava: The northern Indian city of Allahabad is well-known for its Allahabad Safeda Guava.

a.   This variety’s exceptional quality can be attributed to the region’s favourable climate and fertile alluvial soil.

b.   Large size, creamy white flesh, and pale yellow skin are the hallmarks of the Allahabad Safeda Guava.

Below is a delicious and easy-to-make Guava Cheesecake recipe that will impress your family and friends.

It’s a no bake guava cheesecake recipe and its creamy texture, tangy guava flavour, and buttery crust make this cheesecake a real crowd-pleaser.

These are the ingredients you will need.

a)   McVities Digestives Crackers – 200g

b)  Lurpak Unsalted Butter – 100g, melted

c)   Philadelphia Cream Cheese – 500g

d)  CSR Icing Sugar – 1 cup

e)   CSR Sugar – 1/4 cup

f)   Cuban Red Guavas – 4, ripe and mashed

g)   Bulla Thickened Cream – 1 cup, chilled

h)  Queen Vanilla Extract – 1 teaspoon

Here are the instructions to make this culinary delight.

a)   In a food processor, crush the McVities Digestives Crackers until they resemble fine crumbs.

b)  In a mixing bowl, combine the melted Lurpak Unsalted Butter with the crushed crackers. Mix well until the crumbs are evenly coated.

c)   Press the crumb mixture into the base of a Cook and Dine Cake Tin, creating an even layer. Place it in the refrigerator to set while you prepare the filling.

d)  In a separate mixing bowl, beat the Philadelphia Cream Cheese until smooth and creamy.

e)   Add the CSR Icing Sugar and CSR Sugar to the cream cheese. Mix until well combined.

f)   Stir in the mashed Cuban Red Guavas and mix until the filling is smooth and evenly mixed in.

g)   In another mixing bowl, whip the chilled Bulla Thickened Cream until soft peaks form.

h)  Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, being careful not to over mix it.

i)    Add the Queen Vanilla Extract and stir until incorporated.

j)   Remove the cake tin from the refrigerator and pour the guava cream cheese filling over the crust, spreading it evenly.

k)   Smooth the top with a spatula and refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 6 hours, or until fully set.

l)    Once the cheesecake is fully set, remove it from the refrigerator and carefully remove the sides of the cake tin.

m) Garnish the cheesecake with additional mashed Cuban Red Guavas, if desired.

n)   Slice and serve this delightful guava cheesecake to your family and watch their faces light up with joy!
